- A moving and beautifully shot drama about the relation between

younger sister Mary, who suffers from a terminal lung disease.
Mary is helped in visiting the hospital by an older friend called
the Professor (a former teacher of Penny's), and their immigrant
neighbour. Through the efforts of Mary, Penny learns to regain

- Jena Malone plays Anna, the daughter of recently divorced parents Jackie and Luke (Susan Sarandon and Ed Harris).

in the middle, and this movie reaches a uniting climax when Jackie finds out that she is battling cancer.
